We’re looking for a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a team in Kennebunk, ME on a 14-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work weekdays (Mon–Fri) from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM helping patients regain mobility and independence under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

What you’ll do day-to-day

• Support the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations, collecting medical histories, and setting goals.
• Carry out prescribed interventions and exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility.
• Apply modalities and operate therapeutic equipment as part of rehabilitation plans.
• Teach patients (and their families) exercises and home programs to promote recovery and long-term function.
• Keep clear, accurate treatment records and document patient progress.
• Work closely with the PT and the broader healthcare team to coordinate care and review treatment plans.
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a clean, safe therapy environment.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
