We’re looking for a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a team in Lanham, MD on a 14-week contract beginning ASAP. This role follows a consistent 08:00 AM–04:30 PM schedule, seven days a week (Sun–Sat). Compensation is competitive: Travel: $1,383/35-hours; Local: $1,362/35-hours.
What you’ll need:
- Valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.
What you’ll do:
- Work alongside the Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients’ physical and functional abilities and help identify limitations.
- Help develop and carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, motor skills, and independence in daily activities.
- Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation on treatments, progress, and any changes in condition.
- Provide training and guidance to patients and families for home exercise programs to support continued recovery.
- Communicate regularly with the Occupational Therapist and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a safe therapy environment.
- Offer compassionate support and encouragement as patients work toward their therapeutic goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
