Join a busy 495-bed regional referral hospital in Winchester, VA, as a locum tenens emergency physician providing clinical coverage from 10/01/2026 to 10/01/2027. You’ll work in a Level 3 trauma emergency department using Epic, supported by a full emergency department clinical team and standard ED equipment. Coverage is clinical only.

Schedule: rotating 12- and 14-hour shifts, including:

• 7:00a–7:00p
• 9:00a–8:00p
• 10:00a–10:00p
• 1:00p–1:00a
• 4:00p–3:00a
• 7:00p–7:00a

Patient mix and duties:

• Evaluate and treat pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients presenting with a full range of emergency medicine cases
• Provide emergency stabilization, airway management, and other standard ED procedures
• Admit patients as needed and coordinate care with ancillary services
• Accurately document patient encounters in Epic
• Maintain credentialing and compliance across Valley Health sites

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted state medical license
• ABEM board certification
• Active DEA registration
• Demonstrated emergency medicine experience
• SCP approved for IMLC as of 05/15/2026
