Locum tenens opportunity in Portland, OR (97225) providing inpatient OB/GYN clinical care with 24-hour in-house call. Coverage begins Sep 1, 2026 and is ongoing. Shifts: 12-hour (7:30a–7:30p or 7:30p–7:30a) or 24-hour (7:30a–7:30a). Call response time: 15 minutes. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice. Clinical responsibilities

• Provide continuous in-house OB/GYN call coverage and collaborate with APPs and MAs.
• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, including fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (level I/screening and viability).
• Conduct routine and complicated deliveries: vaginal, low forceps, breech, multiple births.
• Make operative decisions for C-sections, perform C-sections, manage VBACs, abruptions, and repair 3rd–4th degree lacerations.

Patient and facility details

• Average daily volume: 15–20 patients; case mix: obstetrics and gynecology.
• EMR: Epic. Support staff: MAs, APPs.

Credentials and requirements

• Board certified (BC required).
• Active OR medical license and DEA registration.
• BLS required.
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges not available); credentialing timeline ~90 days.
• Recent case logs from the past 24 months required.

Shift and call expectations

• In-house 24-hour call coverage; response within 15 minutes.
• Typical shifts as noted above; schedule includes nights and extended coverage.
