Locums Orthopedic/Trauma PA — $800/Shift, Hospital-Based, Beaumont TX (ER/OR/Inpatient)

Location: Beaumont, TX — hospital-based orthopedic and trauma service supporting 24/7 coverage.

Compensation: $800 per shift.

Practice setting

• Team-based care with fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons and APPs
• Clinical coverage across Emergency Department, Operating Room, and inpatient wards
• High-acuity, fast-paced trauma and orthopedic caseload

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage orthopedic and trauma consults in ED and inpatient settings
• Assist in operative cases and perform assigned intraoperative duties
• Manage post-operative care: daily rounding, orders, progress notes, and discharges
• Perform splinting, casting, wound care, and bedside procedures as needed
• Communicate and coordinate care with attending surgeons, nursing, and ancillary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow institutional protocols

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active Texas PA license or eligible to obtain licensure
• NCCPA or equivalent national certification
• Minimum 1–2 years’ clinical experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care
• Demonstrated procedural skills and comfort in high-acuity clinical environments
