Locum OB/GYN Epic Facility, 1:3 Beeper Call, Inpatient/Outpatient (Wisconsin Rapids, WI)

We’re seeking an experienced OB/GYN to provide locum tenens coverage in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is an ASAP–ongoing assignment with clinical duties plus beeper call (1:3 call ratio, 30-minute response). The agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for low-risk and complicated patients in clinic and on the floor.
• Manage labor and delivery, interpret FHR tracings (NST/CST/FSE), and perform routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps; decision-making and performance of C-sections; breech, multiples, abruptions).
• Perform OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening, viability) and handle admissions, rounding on unassigned patients, and phone consults.
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations and perform office/minor gynecologic procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP).
• Provide surgical gynecology care including laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, ovarian/adnexal work) and operative/major cases (ectopic surgery, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive adhesiolysis/LOA).

Typical patient volumes and support:

• Clinic: ~20–25 patients/day; Inpatient: ~1–6 patients/day; Admissions: ~1–3/day; Phone consults: 1–3/day.
• EMR: Epic.
• Support team: 1 RN, 1 NP/PA, and 2 MAs.

Requirements:

• Board-certified/board-eligible in OB/GYN.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications.
• Active hospital privileges required.

This role is intended as supplemental coverage; you’ll collaborate closely with the local team to deliver safe, timely care. If you’re comfortable with both routine and complex obstetric and gynecologic procedures and prefer a mix of inpatient and outpatient practice, this could be a great fit.
