Join a growing hematology/oncology team in Potsdam, NY for a 6-month locum tenens assignment focused on outpatient care. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide outpatient hematology/oncology coverage and occasional inpatient consults as needed.
• Evaluate and manage adult oncology patients (roughly 18–20 patients per day) across a general hematology and oncology case mix.
• Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and adjust treatment plans.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation in Epic (AI-assisted charting available).

The setting and support

• Primarily an outpatient oncology clinic with occasional inpatient consults.
• 15 infusion chairs; typical daily patient volume around 18–20.
• Team includes 1 MD, 1 NP, and 3 CMA/CNA support staff.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Requirements & compliance

• Active New York license required.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified accepted.
• Updated work history required with no gaps greater than 30 days.
• Hospital privileges required (credentialing timeline TBD).
• If there is any malpractice history (dismissed or active), a physician statement will be required.

Compensation & logistics

• Rate: TBD. Overtime paid after 40 hours/week.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered if applicable.
