Location: Potsdam, NY
Facility: Outpatient clinic with occasional inpatient consults (Adult III/IV trauma center)
Assignment type: Locum Tenens — Supplemental coverage
Coverage period: Starting Aug 3 — ongoing
Preferred schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Flexibility: Prefers full-time; near–full-time considered. Overtime available after 40 hours/week.
Clinical scope
- Patient population: Adults
- Volume: 18–20 patients/day
- Case mix: Medical oncology and hematology — chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormone therapy
- Duties: Oncology treatment management, infusion oversight, occasional inpatient consults and rounding (rare)
- Admissions: Inpatient consults as needed
Practice environment & resources
- Current staffing: 1 MD in practice, 1 NP, 3 CNA/CMA, infusion team support
- Specialty backup: Oncology support team available
- EMR: Epic (AI charting available)
- Office equipment: Standard oncology clinic equipment
- Hospital privileges: Available
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance: Covered
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Active New York medical license required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Epic experience required
- Providers must maintain updated work history with no gaps of 30+ days
- Physician statement required for any malpractice history (dismissed or not)
- Professional attire with closed-toed shoes required
