Scope of Practice

• Assist with CABG and open-heart procedures, including valve repair/replacement.
• Perform EVH (endoscopic vein harvesting), endoscopic radial artery harvesting, and SFA exposure.
• Manage sternotomy closure and chest tube placement.
• Provide pre- and post-operative critical care in the CV ICU.
• Place arterial/venous sheaths and central venous lines; manage Impella devices.
• Assigned patient rounding and handling of phone consults.

• Average daily patients: 10
• Admissions per day: 3
• Phone consults per day: ~10
• Rounding: Assigned patients

Requirements & Credentials

• Board certified required
• ACLS required
• Fellowship preferred
• Hospital privileges: not required; temporary privileges available
