Job Description
Join a friendly team at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina, covering Diagnostic Radiology from Jan 19, 2026 – ongoing. This is a travel physician role covering a backfill FTE with day shifts (7a–5p). Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
What the day looks like
- Typical daily volume: about 70–80 RVs per shift.
- You’ll read studies across the regional network and provide cross-coverage at Black River and Marion locations as part of a four-radiologist pool.
- EMR/PACS: Sectra PACS and PowerScribe voice recognition.
Procedures you’ll perform
- General diagnostic radiology plus light interventional work, including:
- Arteriograms, embolization, ablations, kyphoplasty
- CT-fluoro biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Port placements, tunneled and non-tunneled catheters, dialysis graft declots
- Nephrostomy and biliary drainages, gastrostomy placements, PleurX catheter insertion
- Thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms, galactograms
- Fluoroscopy studies: BE, UGI, barium swallows, modified barium swallows
Requirements and onboarding
- South Carolina license preferred; candidates without an SC license will be considered if FCVS is available for verifications.

- You must wear a dosimetry badge starting on day one and maintain compliance.
