Join SCP Health – Locums to provide hospitalist coverage at Russell County Hospital in Lebanon, VA. This locum tenens assignment begins Aug 1, 2026 and continues on an ongoing basis. Shifts are 12 hours (7a–7p or 7p–7a); travel, lodging, and malpractice are provided.
Key details:
- Facility: 53 acute care beds (includes 5 acuity-adjustable ICU/PCU beds)
- EMR: Epic
- Support: NPs and PAs on staff; tele-support available for night admissions and floor calls
- Rounding responsibilities included
Clinical responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient hospitalist care for acute care, ICU, and PCU patients
- Perform ventilator management
- Supervise NPs and PAs and collaborate with tele-support as needed
Requirements:
- Board certification: ABIM, ABFM, or ABMS
- Completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited 3-year residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license
- Active DEA with VA address covering schedules II–V (including 2N, 3N)
- ACLS certification
- Case logs for the past two years; ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates
