SCP Health - Locums seeks a locum tenens physician to provide inpatient coverage at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. This role covers acute care and ICU patients on a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts (8a–8p and 8p–8a), starting Aug 1, 2026 and ongoing. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are provided.
Facility and support
- 263 acute care beds, including 38 ICU beds
- Epic EMR
- Day team support: 4 MDs and 2 NPs plus a dedicated NP/PA admitter
- Night coverage: single MD (locum may work independently at night)
- Rounding included
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient hospitalist and ICU care
- Supervise NPs and PAs
- Document and manage patients using Epic
- Comply with hospital policies and required fittings/tests
Requirements
- Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or other ABMS specialties (EM/FM/IM)
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
- Active DEA with TN address including schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
- ACLS certification
- MD or DO from accredited school and completion of a 3-year residency; ECFMG for international graduates
- Immunization/titer documentation for MMR and two Varicella doses, two-step TB test
- Mask fitting and submission of case logs for the past two years
