• Acute Care Surgery Service covering Trauma, Emergency Surgery, and Critical Care
• 737-bed tertiary/quaternary care academic health center
• Level 1 trauma center with busiest Emergency Department in Virginia
• Bedside procedures including chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines
• Wound repair, drain management, and incision procedures required
• Patient management from initial consult throughout hospital stay
• Teaching responsibilities for patients, family and staff
