Responsibilities

  • 34-bed, Level III NICU – diverse acuity and case variety
  • Collaborative 2 Neonatologist / 4 NNP model
  • NNPs in-house 24 hours a day
  • Home call for Neonatologists after rounds
  • 1,500–2,000 deliveries annually
  • Newborn nursery rounds
  • NNP-led transport team (physician covers in-house during transports)

You’ll be part of a collegial, evidence-based team focused on quality-driven protocols and continuous improvement in neonatal care.

About the Facility:

Located within Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital:

  • Central Louisiana’s largest and most advanced NICU
  • The region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • 19-bed pediatric unit29-bed well-baby nursery, and 26-bed OB/post-partum unit

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master’s degree
