Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a Faculty Geriatric Psychiatrist to provide care for elderly patients, including those with dementia, depression, and other age-related conditions in our psychiatry department in Tyler, TX.
Your Work:
- Provide psychiatric care for elderly patients in inpatient (10-bed) and residential (30-bed) settings
- Manage medications and develop holistic care plans with a multidisciplinary team
- Supervise and mentor psychiatry residents
- Lead case conferences and contribute to complex geriatric cases
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation
- Option for fully inpatient or a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient role
- EMR: Epic
