Locum Tenens Pediatric Hospitalist — Call-Only Coverage (Eureka, CA)

We’re looking for a Pediatric Hospitalist to provide supplemental, call-only coverage in Eureka, CA. This is a locum tenens opportunity supporting outpatient services with a beeper call system and a 20–30 minute response expectation. Coverage begins June 25 and continues on an ongoing basis with the following shift blocks to fill: June 25–29, July 2–7, July 23–27, and July 27–August 1. Call is 24 hours (6 a.m.–6 a.m.).

You’ll be working in a setting that requires hands-on neonatal and pediatric procedures, so experience with the following is essential:

• Endotracheal/nasotracheal intubation (newborns and pediatrics)
• UVC/UAC placement
• Needle decompression for pneumothorax
• Chest tube insertion for neonates
• Ventilator management
• EKG interpretation

Required credentials and certifications:

• Active CA medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics
• Active DEA
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS

Hospital privileges are required. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance will be provided. If you’re comfortable responding quickly to beeper calls and managing both neonatal and pediatric acute care procedures, this is a flexible locum role in a supportive community setting.
