Coverage: Locum Tenens, supplemental call coverage
Dates: ASAP – December 31, 2026
Call: 24‑hour beeper call; Thu 07:00 – Mon 07:00, rotating once every 3 weeks
Call response time: 20 minutes
Phone consults: Yes
Rounding: Yes
Clinical mix:
- 90% inpatient, 10% outpatient
- Support staff: 3 RNs, 6 APPs, 3 MAs, 3 office staff
- Current practice: 3 physicians, 6 mid‑levels
Required procedures and responsibilities:
- Coronary artery bypass surgery (on‑pump)
- Valvular repair/replacement
- Cardiac aneurysm repair
- Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
- Insertion/management of central venous lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABP
Facility features:
- EMR: Epic
- Beds: 120 total; 22 ICU
- Exam rooms: 29
- Onsite lab and x‑ray
Privileges and logistics:
- Hospital privileges required
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements:
- Active Montana license or participation in IMLC
- Board certified (BC) in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- DEA license
