Opportunity overview:
Seeking a locum tenens Pediatrician to provide full-time outpatient clinical care for newborns through age 18. Coverage is primarily supplemental for a three-month assignment with the option to extend. Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch). Patient volume runs up to 18–21 visits per day with occasional phone consults.

Clinical scope and setting:

• 100% outpatient pediatrics with emphasis on general wellness and acute visits.
• Patient population includes underserved and vulnerable groups, including migrants and refugees.
• Procedures limited to standard ambulatory pediatric care.
• Support: dedicated MA per provider, reception staff, onsite mental health therapists and dietitians, and pediatric administrative/clinical backup. Interpreter services available; bilingual providers are a plus.
• EMR: EPIC. Standard ambulatory clinic equipment provided.

Logistics and expectations:

• 1-week ramp-up orientation; patient care expected by Day 3.
• Preference for providers available five days per week; local candidates may be considered for 3–4 day schedules.
• OT is only approved if daily productivity expectations are exceeded.
• Credentialing: approximately 2–3 weeks.
• Travel, lodging, rental car or mileage, and malpractice insurance covered.

Requirements:

• Pediatrics BC/BE.
• Active Washington medical license at submission and active WA DEA.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Community health/underserved population experience strongly preferred.
• Clean background and no malpractice history.
• COVID and annual flu vaccinations required.
