Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced OB/GYN to provide in-house locum tenens coverage at a busy Spokane, WA hospital starting August 14, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing basis. You’ll be supporting inpatient obstetric care with a mix of routine and higher-risk cases in a Level III trauma center.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide OB care for roughly 75% low-risk and 25% high-risk patients
- Manage about 3 deliveries per week (approximately 1,000 annual deliveries)
- Perform C-sections (about 30% of your cases) and occasional surgical GYN procedures
- Handle routine and complicated deliveries, fetal heart rate interpretation, and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Work with on-site lab and ultrasound resources
- Document care in Epic
Schedule and coverage
- Call-only position, in-house coverage
- 3 weekends per month:
- Either Fri 5 PM – Sun 5 PM, or Sat 7 AM – Mon 7 AM
- Typical patient volume on call: ~5 patients
- Coverage type: supplemental locum support
Facility and support
- Labor & Delivery beds: 19; OB ED beds: 3
- 3 APPs available to support clinical care
- Trauma level: III

Required credentials
- Active WA medical license or participation in the IMLC
- Board certified in OB/GYN
- DEA registration
- BLS certification
- Hospital privileges required
