Join a locum tenens team at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital (Diana Health) to provide full-scope midwifery care in a hospital setting. This daytime assignment runs 11/09/2026–02/08/2027 (13 weeks) with 3–7 shifts per month; 12-hour or 24-hour in-house call shifts available. Coverage includes clinical care plus in-house call.

Clinical scope:

  • Full-scope midwifery: intrapartum and postpartum care, OB triage, and well-woman gynecologic exams across the lifespan
  • First assist responsibilities during deliveries

Facility and resources:

  • Hospital setting with Level III NICU onsite
  • Epic EMR
  • 24-hour in-house OB/GYN specialty backup

Requirements:

  • Board certified
  • Active Texas medical license and Texas DEA
  • Minimum 2 years full-scope midwifery experience
  • At least 2 years recent first assist experience (within past 2 years)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient midwifery care and support patients through labor and delivery
  • Serve as first assist as required
  • Manage intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage patients
  • Perform well-woman gynecologic exams
  • Participate in scheduled 12- or 24-hour in-house call coverage
