We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join a contract/travel role in Winchester, NH. This assignment starts ASAP, runs for about 15 weeks, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is competitive: Travel pay is $1,505 per 35-hour week; local pay is $1,484 per 35-hour week.
What you’ll need
- A valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
What you’ll be doing
- Work alongside the Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, collect medical histories, and help set realistic goals.
- Carry out prescribed treatments and exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Use therapeutic equipment and modalities as part of rehabilitation plans.
- Teach and demonstrate exercises and techniques so patients can safely continue progress at home.
- Educate patients and their families about home programs and recovery expectations.
- Keep accurate, timely documentation of treatments and patient progress.
- Communicate and coordinate with the PT and other members of the healthcare team about treatment plans and patient needs.
- Follow safety and infection-control practices to maintain a clean, safe therapy area.
- Offer encouragement and emotional support as patients work toward their goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
