Location: Pleasant Hill, CA
Assignment: Contract/Travel — Start: ASAP — Duration: 14 weeks
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 08:00 AM–04:30 PM
Compensation: Travel: $2,121/35-hour week; Local: $2,090/35-hour week
Required:
- Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and swallowing disorders.
- Implement and train patients/families in safe swallowing techniques and dysphagia management.
- Evaluate and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, strategies, and carryover techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress; revise treatment plans based on outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records, assessments, plans, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members for coordinated care.
- Support patients in applying improved communication skills in daily, academic, and work settings.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and comply with facility policies.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
