Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (Family Medicine) — Correctional Health, Plymouth WI

We’re looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join a locum tenens assignment in Plymouth, WI. This is a 13-week position starting ASAP, with a typical schedule of 08:00 AM–04:30 PM and a pay rate of $80/hr.

What you’ll be expected to do:

• Perform focused and comprehensive physical exams, assess health concerns, and establish medical diagnoses.
• Prescribe, monitor, and manage medications; order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
• Provide preventive care, acute treatment, and chronic disease management for persons in custody.
• Keep timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts, help with staff training, and take part in patient education.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support reentry planning and evidence-based care initiatives within the Department of Corrections.

What we need from you:

• Active Wisconsin RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification with prescriptive authority.
• Current DEA registration and BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of advanced nursing theory, pharmacology, diagnostic skills, and correctional healthcare practices.
• Ability to work independently, handle a varied caseload, and respond effectively in emergency situations.
