Contract Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) — Alameda, CA (13-week Travel/Local)

We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join a team in Alameda, CA for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and offers competitive pay (Travel: $1,548/36-hours; Local: $1,526/36-hours).

What you’ll be doing:

• Work closely with the Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, collect medical histories, and help set functional goals.
• Deliver prescribed interventions and exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Operate therapeutic equipment and apply modalities safely and effectively.
• Teach patients proper techniques and home exercise routines to support their recovery.
• Document treatments and progress accurately in patient records.
• Coordinate with the PT and the broader healthcare team to ensure cohesive care plans.
• Follow safety and infection-control practices to maintain a clean, safe therapy environment.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support as patients work toward their goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Valid, active Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
