Join a team in Kokomo, IN (46902) as a Registered Nurse working in the operating room on a locum tenens basis. This is an inpatient, clinical-only role beginning Sept 21, 2026 and continuing on an ongoing schedule.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the OR.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to promote patient safety and strong clinical outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
- Monitor patients’ status throughout the perioperative period and respond to changes promptly.
- Document care and patient progress accurately using the Epic EMR.
About the clinical environment
- Average daily surgical volume: ~5 cases.
- EMR: Epic.
- Typical support: 1 RN, 1 medical assistant, and 2 office staff.
Credentials we require
- Board-certified (BC required).
- Active nursing license in Indiana or participation in the Nurse Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
