Requirements:

• Active, valid LPN license for the state of Maine
• BLS certification

Overview:
Provide direct nursing care in collaboration with RNs and physicians, delivering safe, patient-centered treatment during the evening/night shift. The role emphasizes thorough assessment, medication administration, wound care, documentation, patient/family education, and prompt response in emergencies while following infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical status.
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments accurately and timely.
• Perform wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection or complications.
• Continuously monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to medical emergencies and follow established infection control procedures.
