Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) Newport, VT (13-Week Local Assignment)

We’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a local contract team in Newport, VT. This is a 13-week assignment starting August 3, 2026, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Compensation is $64/hour (Local) — or Local PPW: $2,304 for a 36-hour week.

What we need from you

• A valid, active Occupational Therapy state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

What you’ll do

• Assess patients’ physical and cognitive abilities, plus their home or work environments, to identify functional limitations and set meaningful goals.
• Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at improving daily living skills.
• Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices to boost independence.
• Teach patients and families strategies for managing conditions and maintaining functional gains.
• Monitor and document progress consistently and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
