Schedule

  • Weekend call: Saturday & Sunday, 24-hour in-house call during assigned weeks
  • Call response time: 15 minutes

Patient Population & Case Mix

  • 100% pediatric patients
  • Case mix includes pulmonary disorders, bronchoscopies, and ICU consults
  • Rounding: inpatient and outpatient
  • Phone consults: average ~4/day
  • Admissions: TBD

Facility & Support

  • EMR: Cerner
  • Support staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, 1 office staff
  • Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available

Required Credentials

  • Board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology (BC required)
  • Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology required
  • PA medical license or participation in IMLC (Universal License acceptable)
  • DEA required
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology care
  • Perform bronchoscopies as needed
  • Provide ICU consultations
  • Manage phone consults (~4/day)
  • Cover 24-hour in-house call during assigned weeks (night and weekend coverage)
