Locums Orthopedic Surgeon (General Trauma—24hr Call, Onsite Housing, Clinton NC)

June 26, 7A – July 1, 7A

We’re seeking a board-certified general orthopedic surgeon for a short-term assignment in Clinton, NC. This is a 24-hour call coverage role at a hospital that uses Meditech Expansion.

What to expect clinically

• Typical volume: 0–3 consults/day.
• Emergency visits: 0–2/day for closed reductions and admissions.
• Operative cases: 0–2/day, commonly wrist, ankle and hip fracture repairs and I&Ds.
• Long-bone trauma is typically stabilized and transferred.

Credentials & requirements

• Board certification required.
• Active NC medical license and NC DEA (NC address) required.
• Providers must be vaccinated.
• NPI# must be included in the candidate bid.
• Provider must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS.
• Per hospital bylaws, provider must remain within 20 minutes of the hospital while on call.

Logistics & compensation notes

• Gratis hours are capped at 4; providers offering fewer than 4 gratis hours will not be considered.
• Hospital will provide on-site, hospital-owned individual apartments (clean, furnished, cable and Wi‑Fi).
• Travel expenses are capped at $500 total (covers airfare, rental car OR mileage — not both).
