Schedule
- Days: Mon–Fri
- Clinic: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Shift hours: typically 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- On-call: 1 weeknight call and 1 weekend day per call week
- Coverage: Clinical duties + call; assist with surgical cases as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and clinic-based neurosurgical care for adults
- Perform daily inpatient rounds (prior to clinic)
- Manage clinic patients Monday–Friday
- Perform procedures: EVD placement, lumbar drain, lumbar puncture, ICP monitor placement, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, primary surgical care of complex wounds, suturing, and other surgical care as required
Credentials & Requirements
- Board: Board Certified Neurosurgery (BC Neurosurgery)
- License: Active South Carolina medical license required
- Background: Clean background check required
- Hospital privileges required; credentialing timeline 60–90 days
Compensation / Logistics
- Travel, lodging, and mileage are billable
- Malpractice coverage provided
