Locum Orthopedic/Trauma Physician Assistant (PA) — Beaumont, TX, Hospital-Based

We’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Locums Physician Assistant to join a hospital-based orthopedic and trauma team in Beaumont, TX. You’ll work alongside fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons and other APPs to deliver 24/7 care across the emergency department, operating room, and inpatient units. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity role—ideal for clinicians who are comfortable managing acute injuries, assisting in surgery, and coordinating complex post-operative care.

Compensation

• $800 per shift

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic and trauma care in the ER, OR, and on the wards
• Perform consults and assist in surgical procedures
• Manage post-op care including rounding, discharge planning, and follow-up coordination
• Perform splinting, casting, wound care, and other procedural support
• Communicate effectively with attending surgeons, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

Who we’re looking for

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with national certification
• Active Texas license or ability to obtain one
• 1–2+ years’ experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care required
• Strong procedural skills and confidence in a high-acuity clinical environment

Practice setting

• Hospital-based orthopedic and trauma service with a collaborative team of surgeons and APPs
• Care delivered across ER, OR, and inpatient settings
