Orthopedic Trauma NP/PA — Level II Trauma Center, 10hr Shifts, No AfterHours Call, $140K+

Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Texas. This role is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner seeking to work alongside orthopedic trauma surgeons in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting managing a wide range of injuries.

Schedule and practice structure

• On-site APP coverage daily, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 10-hour shifts; full-time = 175 shifts annually
• No after-hours call responsibilities
• Shared surgical and inpatient care responsibilities in a multidisciplinary environment

Key responsibilities

• Round with the on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon and participate in clinical decision-making
• Evaluate and manage new consults and follow inpatient trauma patients
• Assist in the operating room and support perioperative care
• Coordinate care with nursing, therapy, and other specialties to ensure seamless patient management

Compensation and benefits

• Base annual pay: $140,000
• Additional shifts: $800 per shift

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Texas
• Orthopedic, surgical, or trauma experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable assisting in the OR and managing inpatient orthopedic patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
