Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Beaumont, just one hour east of Houston. We’re looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to collaborate with skilled orthopedic trauma surgeons in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting managing a wide range of injuries.
What the role looks like
- Work daily on a high-acuity orthopedic trauma service that handles everything from pelvis and acetabular fractures to common hand injuries and routine pediatric fractures.
- Be part of a supportive, collaborative team with predictable hours and no after-hours call.
- APP coverage is on-site every day from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Shifts are 10 hours, and the full-time schedule is 175 shifts per year.
Key responsibilities
- Round with the on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon and help manage inpatient care.
- Evaluate and manage new consults and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist in the operating room and participate actively in surgical and inpatient workflows.
Compensation and benefits
- Base annual pay of $140,000.
- Extra shifts paid at $800 per shift.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), and an annual CME stipend.
- Medical malpractice insurance provided, including tail coverage.
- Reasonable travel expenses to Beaumont covered, and lodging provided.
Who we’re looking for
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Prior orthopedic or surgical experience preferred; trauma experience is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable assisting in the OR and managing inpatient orthopedic patients.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
