Cardiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant RVH (Rutland, VT)

Join a collaborative cardiovascular team serving Rutland County in a community-focused setting. You’ll work side-by-side with cardiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions in both outpatient clinics and the hospital when needed.

Compensation & benefits

• Salary range: $115,000 – $130,000+ plus productivity-based incentives (well above median MGMA benchmarks)

What you’ll do

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and interpret diagnostic testing
• Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions using evidence-based approaches
• Prescribe and adjust cardiac medications within scope of practice and guidelines
• Coordinate care with cardiologists, primary care providers, and ancillary services
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac health, risk reduction, and prevention
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives
• Provide outpatient care and occasional inpatient coverage as needed

What we’re looking for

• NP: Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program; board certification (e.g., ANCC, AANP); active Vermont APRN license
• PA: Graduate of an ARC-PA–accredited Physician Assistant program; NCCPA certification; active Vermont PA license
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience as an NP or PA; cardiology, internal medicine, or related experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• DEA registration if applicable for prescribing
