Locum Tenens Remote Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) — Pediatric/Adolescent Telehealth, PA (1099)

Join a mission-driven team delivering evidence-based psychiatric care through a fully remote locum tenens role. You will provide telehealth services to children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative virtual practice that values clinical autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful patient outcomes.

This is a 1099 contract position for clinicians comfortable practicing independently while engaging with a supportive clinical and administrative team.

Schedule

• Minimum 10 hours per week
• Availability during peak demand: after 3:00 PM ET on weekdays and/or flexible weekend availability

Key responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing telehealth assessments
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions for pediatric and young adult patients (ages 2+)
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation
• Coordinate care with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania PMHNP/CRNP/APN license
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years of independent psychiatric practice post-licensure
• Demonstrated experience with pediatric populations (ages 2+)
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHRs, and digital tools
• Reliable computer, phone, and high-speed internet
