OB/GYN Hospitalist — Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (Carbondale, IL; Multiple IL Locations)

This hospitalist role ensures every pregnant patient who presents to the hospital receives expert, consistent care from an experienced physician—improving safety, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.

Based in Carbondale, Illinois (with additional opportunities in Michigan City, Moline, and Silvis), this full-time hospitalist position offers a flexible schedule designed to support a healthy work/life balance while working closely with local obstetricians. Typical commitment is 7–9 24-hour shifts per month (about 21 days off monthly), with no on-call responsibilities or outpatient office management.

Compensation and schedule

• Annual salary: $300,000–$340,000 plus full benefits

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one
• Experience managing obstetric emergencies and providing comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement
