Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist — Brown University Health (Providence, RI)

Brown University Health invites a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join a collaborative, well-established ophthalmology team in Providence, Rhode Island. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient and surgical practice within an academically affiliated health system, supported by modern surgical suites and a broad referral network.

You will become part of a 12-provider ophthalmology group delivering comprehensive primary and specialty eye care. Clinical duties include outpatient management and operative care, with access to two fully equipped surgical centers in Providence, RI and Attleboro, MA.

Academic involvement is encouraged and supported. Opportunities include participation in a residency program with Brown-affiliated medical students, mentorship of Physician Assistant students on clinical rotations, and contributions to teaching and scholarly activities.

Compensation and benefits include a competitive base salary ($225,000–$325,000) plus RVU-based productivity incentives, a three-year employment agreement, and a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement, CME allowance, malpractice coverage). Additional incentives may include sign-on and retention bonuses, generous paid time off, and professional development support.

Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, eligibility for or active Rhode Island medical licensure (required), Massachusetts licensure preferred, and fellowship training or specialization in Cornea preferred.
