Locum Orthopedic Surgeon — Hospital-Based 24‑Hour Coverage, Above‑Market Pay, Travel & Malpractice Included

We’re looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage in Fallon, Nevada. This is a hospital-based role that includes 24-hour orthopedic coverage — call, clinic, and surgical responsibilities — with a focus on adult patients and total joint procedures.

What you’ll do

• Provide 24-hour orthopedic coverage, including taking call
• Manage inpatient care and run outpatient clinics
• Perform surgical cases in the hospital, primarily general orthopedics and total joint procedures
• Fill an ongoing need of about 1–2 weeks of coverage per month

Compensation and perks

• $3,195 per day
• Generous above-market hourly rate
• All travel arrangements handled and booked by the group (in addition to the per-shift rate)
• Malpractice and tail insurance provided
• Dedicated locum consultant to assist with credentialing and scheduling

What we’re looking for

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Experience with general orthopedics and total joint procedures
• Active Nevada medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Comfortable practicing independently in a hospital-based setting
