Emergency Medicine Physician — North Augusta/Aiken, SC (Independent Contractor; Hospital & Freestanding ED)

Join a team of 16 emergency physicians and 9 advanced practice providers delivering emergency care in the North Augusta/Aiken, SC region. The group includes a mix of recent graduates and experienced clinicians in a collaborative environment.

Practice locations and volume

• Medical Center (273-bed community hospital, 30-bed ED; chest pain and stroke center)
  • ED volume: 43,000 annual visits
  • Coverage: 39 physician hours/day, 30 APP hours/day
• The ER at Sweetwater (10-bed freestanding ED, North Augusta, GA)
  • ED volume: 23,000 annual visits
  • Coverage: 24 physician hours/day, 12 APP hours/day

Clinical and professional responsibilities

• Provide independent emergency care across both sites
• Participate in hospital committees (credentials, sepsis, peer review, medical executive)
• Collaborate with specialists and hospital administration
• Teach APP students and internal/family medicine residents

Schedule and compensation

• Independent contractor arrangement; flexible schedule
• Minimum commitment: full-time, 120 hours/month
• Compensation: $300/hr (day), $325/hr (night)
• $75,000 sign-on bonus available for full-time shift commitment

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
• Authorized to work in the United States
