Job Description
Join a Level III trauma hospital in Douglas, WY, providing locum CRNA coverage that blends inpatient, outpatient surgery, and labor & delivery cases. The role offers a manageable caseload and flexible monthly scheduling in a supportive, hospital-based environment.
Schedule
- Coverage: 2 weeks per month
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Typical hours: 7:00 AM–1:00 PM (may vary with case volume)
- No additional call requirements specified
Practice setting and caseload
- Hospital-based: inpatient, outpatient surgery, and L&D
- Trauma level: III
- Typical volume: 7–10 cases per day
- Patient population: primarily adults with light pediatrics; no surgical patients under age 3 except L&D/neonatal cases
Clinical responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical procedures
- Administer general and local anesthesia; perform regional blocks and epidurals (required)
- Manage anesthesia for labor & delivery, including neonatal support as needed
- Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical teams to ensure safe, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active Wyoming license or IMLC eligibility
- ACLS required (for conscious sedation privileges)
- PALS (AHA) required
- Experience with epidurals, regional blocks, and general anesthesia
- Comfortable with light pediatric cases and neonatal/L&D care
