Job Description
Join a close-knit, highly respected hospitalist team in Great Falls, Montana. You’ll work full time in a modern acute care setting with strong specialist support and advanced diagnostic and procedural capabilities.
The role
You will care for inpatients in a contemporary 46-bed hospital, collaborating daily with medicine and surgical specialists, critical care providers, and experienced nursing staff. The team emphasizes patient-centered care, clear communication, and efficient, high-quality management of hospitalized patients.
Schedule and team
- 7-on / 7-off block schedule, day shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Dedicated nocturnists and in-house pulmonary/critical care physicians provide overnight coverage
- Average daily census ~15 patients per hospitalist
- Telemedicine critical care/pulmonology support and a broad range of on-call specialty backup
- Nursing ratios typically 1:5, adjusted for acuity
Facility and support
- Modern hospital with 36 inpatient beds plus a 10-bed open ICU and advanced cath lab capabilities
- On-site 5-OR hospital surgical suite and adjacent 4-OR outpatient surgery center
- 8-bed Emergency Department staffed by experienced clinicians
- Comprehensive ancillary services and experienced clinical support teams
Procedural preferences
Candidates who are comfortable with or experienced in central line placement, intubation, and arterial line insertion are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in Montana
- Strong clinical judgment, commitment to patient-centered care, and excellent teamwork and communication skills
