Per Diem Orthopedic/Trauma Physician Assistant (PA) — Beaumont, TX | $4,500/Shift

Per diem Physician Assistant position in Beaumont, TX supporting a hospital-based orthopedic and trauma service. Work with fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons and APPs to deliver 24/7 care across the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and inpatient units. Prior orthopedics and/or trauma experience required; must be comfortable in high-acuity settings.

Compensation

• $4,500 per shift

Practice setting

• Hospital-based orthopedic/trauma team
• Collaborative environment with surgeons and APPs
• Coverage across ER, OR, and inpatient floors

Key responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic and trauma consults and ongoing patient management
• Assist with surgical cases and intraoperative support
• Manage post-operative care, rounding, and discharges
• Perform splinting, casting, wound care, and other procedures
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate with attending physicians and nursing staff
• Complete accurate, timely documentation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Texas PA license or ability to obtain
• National PA certification (NCCPA)
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care
• Strong procedural skills and ability to function in a high-acuity clinical environment
