Locums Oncology Nurse Practitioner — BMT & Chemo Experience (Greenville, SC)

Join a well-established, free‑standing cancer center in Greenville, OH as a Locums Oncology Nurse Practitioner providing both outpatient and inpatient oncology care. You’ll manage a mix of benign hematology and malignant oncology patients, oversee bone marrow transplant care, and be hands‑on with chemotherapy administration and comprehensive oncology management.

Schedule and call

• Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
• Call shifts:
  • Tuesday 4:30 PM → Wednesday 8:00 AM
  • Friday 4:30 PM → Monday 8:00 AM (on‑site rounding Saturday & Sunday)
• Call frequency: roughly one rotation every 5–6 weeks, depending on staffing

Practice setting and patient mix

• Free‑standing cancer center serving adult and geriatric populations
• Typical practice breakdown: ~65% benign hematology, ~35% malignant oncology
• Typical volumes: about 15 outpatient patients/day; when on call/rounding, up to ~20 inpatients/day

Primary responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum care for benign hematology and malignant oncology patients
• Manage bone marrow transplant patients, including post‑transplant follow up
• Safely administer chemotherapy and manage treatment regimens
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; prescribe medications as needed
• Handle patient phone triage and hospital inquiries during call shifts
• Participate in inpatient rounding on weekends while covering call

Qualifications and certifications

• Board certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active Ohio license or eligibility to obtain one
• BLS and DEA required
• Demonstrated experience in both outpatient and inpatient oncology settings
• Competent in chemotherapy administration, blood bank management, and oncology procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
