Locum Tenens Neurosurgeon — Sacramento, CA (Inpatient/Trauma & ED Coverage)

Locum opportunity in Sacramento, California for a Neurosurgeon to provide inpatient consultative services and manage acute, trauma, and urgent neurosurgical cases presenting through the Emergency Department or transfer center.

Compensation

• $3,000 per day

Key responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgical consultation for inpatient and acute admissions
• Manage trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases; perform operative interventions when indicated
• Participate in both emergency and elective neurosurgical procedures as needed
• Coordinate care with emergency medicine physicians, hospitalists, and ICU teams
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care

Schedule & coverage

• Locum tenens (PRN / as-needed)
• Predictable scheduling with shifts covering consultative services and surgical cases

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Active California medical license, or ability to obtain one
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
