Per Diem Neurosurgeon — Two Weeks On/Two Weeks Off (Carbondale, IL)

Location: Carbondale, Illinois

Compensation: $4,500 per shift

Schedule

• Per diem rotation: two weeks on, two weeks off.

Position summary

• Provide surgical and clinical neurosurgical care within a growing program, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform a broad range of neurosurgical procedures with technical proficiency.
• Coordinate care with neurology, critical care, radiology, rehabilitation, and other teams.
• Apply current evidence-based practices and maintain clinical competency.
• Participate in teaching of medical students and residents as needed.

Required qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited neurosurgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery.
• Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Demonstrated surgical skill across a wide range of neurosurgical procedures.
