Job Description
Well-established, growing pulmonary practice located just south of Boston seeks a full-time Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative, physician-led team. The role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care within a supported clinical environment.
Position details
- Location: Just south of Boston, MA
- Employment: Full-time, employed
- Salary: $110,000–$140,000 (DOE)
- Schedule: Stable schedule supporting work–life balance
- Team: Collaborative pulmonology group with experienced physicians and clinical support staff
- Facilities: Modern clinic with strong operational and diagnostic support
Primary responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pulmonary conditions
- Perform follow-up visits and ongoing disease management
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies (PFTs, imaging, labs)
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide patient education on disease management and prevention
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with pulmonologists and interdisciplinary care teams
Minimum qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies
- Current NP or PA certification
- Massachusetts license or eligibility for licensure
- Clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Prior pulmonary medicine experience preferred; new graduates with strong interest will be considered
