Fly-In Orthopedic Total Joints Surgeon — Predictable 10 Shifts/Month, Travel & Licensing Covered

Established orthopedic surgery group near Reno, Nevada seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with total joint/reconstructive expertise to join an established program serving a rural community. This is a fly-in position with full travel and licensing support; no relocation required.

Overview

• Full-scope orthopedic practice with emphasis on total joint replacement and growing elective volume.
• Balanced mix of elective and acute cases, including arthroscopy, basic fracture care, and hand procedures.
• Collaborative surgical team with onsite clinic, protected OR time, and hospitalist-supported admissions.

Schedule / Coverage Model

• Predictable shift schedule: 10 shifts per month providing 24/7 ED orthopedic call coverage.
• Shifts selected 120 days in advance.
• Fly-in model: travel and licensing arrangements covered.

Compensation & Benefits

• $3,195 per shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ED call coverage and manage acute orthopedic admissions.
• Perform elective total joint and reconstructive procedures and related outpatient care.
• Coordinate with hospitalists and the surgical team for perioperative management.
• Maintain documentation and participate in quality and patient-safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship in total joint replacement preferred or equivalent experience.
• Eligible for Nevada medical licensure (support provided).
• Ability to manage both elective and acute orthopedic cases and participate in ED call.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
