Job Description
Established orthopedic surgery group near Reno, Nevada seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with total joint/reconstructive expertise to join an established program serving a rural community. This is a fly-in position with full travel and licensing support; no relocation required.
Overview
- Full-scope orthopedic practice with emphasis on total joint replacement and growing elective volume.
- Balanced mix of elective and acute cases, including arthroscopy, basic fracture care, and hand procedures.
- Collaborative surgical team with onsite clinic, protected OR time, and hospitalist-supported admissions.
Schedule / Coverage Model
- Predictable shift schedule: 10 shifts per month providing 24/7 ED orthopedic call coverage.
- Shifts selected 120 days in advance.
- Fly-in model: travel and licensing arrangements covered.
Compensation & Benefits
- $3,195 per shift.
- Full benefits package: medical, CME, 401(k).
- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
- No non-compete.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ED call coverage and manage acute orthopedic admissions.
- Perform elective total joint and reconstructive procedures and related outpatient care.
- Coordinate with hospitalists and the surgical team for perioperative management.
- Maintain documentation and participate in quality and patient-safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship in total joint replacement preferred or equivalent experience.
- Eligible for Nevada medical licensure (support provided).
- Ability to manage both elective and acute orthopedic cases and participate in ED call.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.

- Fly-in model; licensing, travel, and scheduling support provided.
- No relocation required.
