Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Atlantis, FL (12-hr Shifts, High-Volume ED)

We’re seeking board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physicians to provide flexible locum coverage at a busy, 500+ bed acute care hospital in Atlantis, FL (Palm Beach County). This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment with excellent resources and scheduling flexibility — and yes, the beach is nearby.

What you’ll see and do

• Work in a 78-bed ED with a dedicated fast track, serving roughly 88,000 visits annually at the main ED (network total exceeds 130,000 when including freestanding ERs).
• See about 2–3 patients per hour with a mix of high- and low-acuity cases.
• Choose 12-hour day or night shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a).
• Potential to pick up shifts at two associated freestanding ERs (Boynton Beach & Palm Beach Gardens) that operate 24/7 and offer on-site imaging and labs.

Team and resources

• Strong physician coverage (70+ physician hours daily) plus ~30 APP hours.
• Full specialist backup available.
• EMR: Meditech.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Florida medical license and DEA registration.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
