OB/GYN Hospitalist — Dallas TX | Hospitalist-Only, No Clinic/On-Call, Strong L&D Support

Join a hospital-based obstetrics team in Dallas, TX as a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist. This acute-care role provides immediate, in-house OB/GYN coverage for obstetric emergencies with no clinic or office duties.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care and manage obstetric emergencies
• Respond immediately during scheduled hospitalist shifts to labor & delivery needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary labor and delivery team to support safe, efficient patient care
• Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives

Schedule

• Hospitalist-only model (no outpatient clinic)
• Typically 7–9 24-hour shifts per month
• No on-call responsibilities outside scheduled shifts

Compensation & benefits

• Base annual compensation: $300,000–$340,000

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Current DEA registration
