Urology Nurse Practitioner or PA — Top-of-License Role in Rutland, VT (Competitive Pay & Benefits)

Join a collaborative urology team in Rutland, VT as a full-time advanced practice provider delivering high-quality urologic care.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient urology care within scope of practice
• Perform history-taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, and developing treatment plans
• Manage pre- and post-operative care and patient follow-up
• Prescribe medications and coordinate referrals as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
• Adhere to departmental protocols, documentation standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in urology or a related specialty
• Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); registration with Vermont State Education Department; national certification (ANCC or equivalent)
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of an ARC‑PA/AMA‑approved PA program; registration with Vermont State Board of Medical Practice; NCCPA certification
• Unit-specific certifications as required (examples: ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC)
• Completion of department-mandated patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint training
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

Compensation & benefits

• Salary range: $125,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience
